Are you afraid of Shrinkage ?

Okay, I have a confession to make. I feel like the reason that I haven't been wearing my hair out that much is because I've been obsessed with long hair and my hair still looks short in its natural state; Now that I started opening my eyes on a lot of things, I feel like with all the things happening in the world right now, I shouldn't worry about things that don't matter such as shrinkage.
There is no reason for anybody to think that they would be less beautiful, short hair or not.
Part of accepting yourself is knowing that shrinkage or not, our hair is still beautiful. So turn the negative into a positive and rock your hair curly or straight, short or long !

Welcome to me !

I've embarked on this natural hair care journey for a while now and I thought that it was a good idea for me to follow the footsteps of other naturals and start blogging about it.

First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Vicklyn, I'm 20 years old. I was born in Haiti and I'm proud of it. I'm currently in college and I would like to go to pharmacy school one day, but for now, I don't have a choice but to take it as it is.

I've never loved taking care of my nappy hair, even know I've been natural all my life. It was a burden for me, because I have like four different textures. A year ago, all I could do was putting gel on my hair and throwing my hair in a ponytail. But since, I've started my hair care journey, I've learned that natural hair is so much more versatile then I thought, and if you really want to grow it long, you can get great results if you are consistent.

So this is it for now, tell me what you think !

Until next time....
